For Bae, From Bae – Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, which means it is time to find the perfect gift for that lover in your life. Tis a day about love, romance, and sharing that love with others – as you should every other day.

Whether you’re in a new relationship, old relationship, dating or simply testing the waters, these gifts will certainly brighten someone’s heart.

We’ve created a guide of gifts for you, appealing to your partner’s interests, whether that be cool, calm and collected, crazy, wild, and goofy or grown and sexy.

Don’t worry all of these gifts won’t break the bank!

Him: Bevel Shaving Kit

Bevel, by Walker & Company, provides premium grooming products and services to promote healthy skin. Their priming oil is infused with castor and olive oil to soften thick hair. The Aloe-vera based shave cream also acts as a moisturizing cream, creating a thick lather to protect sensitive skin. Bumps are not sexy and no woman wants to roll over and wipe any roughness.

Her: Make-Up

Some ladies love make-up! Lipstick, mascara, foundation, blush, highlighter, whatever; oblige her cosmetic needs. You can’t go wrong with gift card to Sephora, Mac, Macy’s or any other make-up retailer. Now, if you want to earn some brownie points by being specific, pay attention to her favorite mascara or foundation.

Check to see if her Ruby Woo by Mac lipstick has run out and replace it. She’ll love you for it.

Him: Watches

Every man loves a good watch. Some to actually tell time, others simply for fashion. A big face, nothing necessarily flashy, unless that’s what your man likes. A man’s watch is more about simplicity and individualism. Men want something unique, that stands out. Some great brands are Fossil, Bulova, Swatch and Timex. MVMT watches provides a casual and professional sleek look, fit for work and after hours. Braun watches offer a unique German look.

Her: Remember, simplicity is key. A nice pair of diamond stud earrings or hoops. You can’t go wrong with a little arm or leg candy, a bracelet set, or ankle bracelet. If those are not grand enough, go for the trifecta and get a diamond pendant. Either way, she’ll love it.

Flowers and chocolates are great but nothing is more powerful than stimulating the mind. Reading is fundamental, especially within relationships. Books offer a lot of insight and convey messages, many might have never thought about. Bereolaesque has written two great books suitable for men and women on etiquette in relationships. His books are meant to assert that chivalry is not dead. No, this is not a grown and sexy version of Steve Harvey’s Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man.

Him: How to Be a Gentleman: The Contemporary Gentleman & Etiquette Book For The Urban Sophisticate

This book is about the birth of a new breed of men with style, sophistication, strength and confidence, full of diversity. He walks men through different stages of regularity to excellence.

Her: Gentlewoman: Etiquette for a Lady, from a Gentleman

I personally read this book myself, and I must say it was amazing! It provides a greater understanding of relationships, that often gets clouded by the views of others. It an ode for women to always wear our crowns, embrace our femininity in society, and be a lady.

If you’ve read both, buy the third part in the series titled, The Gray: A Relationship Etiquette Study. I’m only one chapter in, but I can already tell it’s going to be even better than Gentlewoman. He’s a Genius!

Here are a few excerpts from the book:

Your soul yearns for a love with a slow burn like grandma’s Sunday cooking. You need satisfaction that last long after the encounter like grandma’s Sunday cooking.

You need a feel that puts you to sleep and wake you up in 4 seconds for seconds like grandma’s Sunday cooking.

To be loved is easy, to be loved is a mother f*****!

Him: Boxers! Red, pink, hearts, kisses. Just a little reminder of your affection for him. Play off his interests, dogs, cats, smiley face emojis. Let it be cute and fun. Who knows, he might give you a special dance in them later.

Her: Fellas, you’re going to have to step your game up with this one. I’m not talking about grabbing a cute pack of Hanes from Wal-Mart. Go all out but play to her interest. If your woman likes lingerie, find her a sexy matching bra and panty set. Of course, you could go with the obvious red, pink or black, but be vivacious.

Lingerie startup Adore Me sells bras, panties, and sets for a monthly subscription, suitable for all shapes, sizes, and colors at just $19.99/a month.

Try deep purples, royal blues, some orange or yellow would be cute too. If she likes onesies, find something cute and sexy, yet comfortable.

If she likes going commando, just buy her a bow and place it on her head.

Dinner Date

You can’t go wrong with a casual dinner at your favorite restaurant, drinking wine, and having some engaging conversation around candlelight.

However, there’s always the option to prepare a home cooked meal. Warning: If you cannot cook, abort this option!

Either one person can cook or both of you can help each other. Ladies, put on that sexy lingerie or onesie. Fellas, put on those heart boxers and get to cooking. [Exercise caution around the stovetop] Don’t waste time trying to learn a new recipe, cook his or her favorite but cook it with love and affection – don’t forget about dessert.

If you absolutely, positively can’t think of anything to get him or her, get a card, but not just any card. Something cute, funny and that appeals to their personality, like these hip-hop inspired cards by artist Kristen Williams – $8. But don’t forget to write something in it.

Do more than just, “I love you,” “You mean the world to me,” or simply repeat “Happy Valentine’s Day” already written at the top. Be creative and get deep. Pull out those feelings or a quote from one of Bereolaesque’s books.
