New York Fashion Week is underway, in Throwback Thursday fashion we are taking a look at a woman who has taken the fashion world by surprise.
Since her days on Basketball Wives, Draya Michele has become quite the powerhouse name as a mother, actress, model, and fashion designer.
The former reality star left Basketball Wives after season four telling Juicy Magazine that she, “mentally checked out of it.” Apparently, defending her past life as a stripper, motherhood, and her relationship with her now-fiancé Orlando Scandrick were no longer up for debate.
She’s since appeared in films, True to the Game and Perfect Match, alongside Terrence J and Cassie.
Draya Michele went from being the quite, immature girl to a dominating female boss with class. The entrepreneur has created two fashion lines, Fine Ass Girls and Mint Swim, both of which she started out of her own home, attributing to her main source of income, making more money than she did on reality tv.
Guess, Shaunie wasn’t evenly cutting the checks.
She recently launched her Beige & Coco clothing collection for the modern day women – classy, yet sassy and comfortable. Aside from building her brand, Draya has become a modern day fashionista.
Her modeling career has also skyrocketed being featured in Vogue Brasil, FashionBombDaily, Nylon and Ivy Park, to name a few.
Draya is certainly a woman to watch in 2017, with three fashion lines, a flourishing career, and a beautiful family.
